Clickbank is the world largest seller of digital products. Most of these products are of course E-books in .PDF format.
Now, to download the e-books you just have to use Google search. For this you must have some basic knowledge of operators or you can use advanced search.
You can not only use Google to find your keywords on the WWW web pages but also files. Just use Filetype:pdf to find PDF files. You can also search for mp3, doc, ppt , etc.
To search for e-books (example- techyoyo) carry out the following steps:-
- Search filetype:pdf site:www.techyoyo.com - This will search for PDF docs stored in the site’s server. If available, click on the link to open or you can download it to your desktop. But suppose the PDF document is not loading click on view as HTML option shown beside the link on the Google search page.
If not available-
- Search techyoyo filetype:pdf – This will search for PDF documents containing the word techyoyo giving priority to the title of course. You need to do this because site owners sometimes store the file on different domains. If available click on the link to open or you can download it to. But suppose the PDF document is not loading click on view as HTML option shown beside the link on the Google search page.
If not available-
- If you do not find it, chances are there you will at least find some excerpts or even complete notes uploaded by people who have purchased it.
If you are a Clickbank merchant you can prevent this. Just store your e-book on different site. There should be no link between your marketing page and this site. Give people the necessary link only after they make the requisite payments. If possible e-mail them the link. And most importantly, remove the site where you have stored the files from Google index so that the Google bots cannot access and scan the page to display it in search result.
If you have knowledge about web development then you don’t have to go through all these hassles. You can just use robot.txt.
Please note this post is for educational purpose only. Do not use the trick as the E-books developers have put in lot of efforts in making them.
